Van Bronckhorst admits Rangers Europa League fitness wait over Roofe and Ramsey

Van Bronckhorst admits Rangers Europa League fitness wait over Roofe and Ramsey

GIOVANNI van Brocnkhorst has revealed he's unsure whether Kemar Roofe or Aaron Ramsey will be fit to face RB Leipzig.

Rangers host the Bundesliga side in the second-leg of the Europa League semi-final at Ibrox tomorrow night.

But Van Bronckhorst is still waiting to discover if he's clear to include Roofe and Ramsey in the squad for the crucial Euro showdown.

The pair missed the first-leg - where Leipzig claimed a narrow 1-0 victory - through injury.

But they've both been pushing for a return to action to try and help Rangers achieve a Europa League final spot.

Quizzed on squad availability for the match, Van Bronckhorst said: "We still have one final training session.

"At the moment I can't say if Roofe or Ramsey will make the squad tomorrow."

The Rangers boss then added: "We all have the same goal, to reach the final.

"The fans will always be important for us at home, they are a big factor tomorrow.

"It will be a noisy night. It will be emotional and we will be ready when the whistle goes.

"We have watched a lot of Leipzig's matches, they will do everything they can to win tomorrow and we have to prepare everything possible.

"It is a tough opponent but we will do everything we can to reach the final."
