Van believed to be involved in Tallaght shooting found burnt out as gardai hunt for Volkswagen Golf

Gardai have released details on two vehicles believed to be involved in Tuesday night's shooting in Tallaght.

The incident happened in the Donomore Crescent area at around 6:20pm. A man in his 30's was shot multiple times and is receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries at Tallaght University Hospital.

The scene remains preserved for technical examination. Officers are appealing for information on the movements of the following two vehicles believed to be involved in the shooting:

• A blue Volkswagen Golf, with partial registration number 06-KE-43**
• A white Ford Transit Connect, with partial registration number 10-D-180** that was located burnt out in Westbourne Green, Clondalkin a short time later.

Gardai asked for anyone with information in relation to the movement of these vehicles between 5:00pm – 6:45pm yesterday evening or anyone with camera footage (including dash-cam) to make this available to them.

A garda spokesman said: "Anyone with any information in relation to this matter should contact Tallaght Garda Station on 01 666 6000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station.

"No arrests have been made at this time and investigations are ongoing."
