José Bordalás has stated that Bryan Gil's future will "be addressed when the time is right" following such a successful start to his Valencia loan spell.
Joining Tottenham last summer from Sevilla in a deal that saw Erik Lamela head in the opposite direction, the youngster found opportunities hard to come by during the first part of the season and was often in and out of the team.
Also struggling to deal with the demands of Premier League football due to his slight frame, Gil only made nine league appearances for the Lilywhites, with all of those coming off the substitutes' bench.
Given his lack of minutes under Antonio Conte and with his playing time unlikely to increase, Spurs decided to send the 21-year-old back to his home country for the remainder of the campaign as he made the temporary switch to Valencia.
Making a huge impression in his eight appearances for Los Che so far, Valencia fans made their feelings known after their recent Copa del Rey semi-final win over Athletic Bilbao as they chanted for the attacker to stay at the Mestalla.
Already likened to Valencia hero Pablo Aimar, calls for Gil will only increase over the coming weeks providing he can keep up his thrilling form.
Ahead of their game against Getafe on Saturday evening, Valencia boss Bordalas was once again asked about the possibility of keeping the Spurs man beyond the end of the season and he duly provided an update on his loan player.
"As for Bryan, I have no knowledge of the situation," he said in his pre-match press conference, as reported by Valencia's official website. "My club know that I am focused on the competition and any movement will be communicated to me.
"Right now, I don't think anything is happening. It is true that Bryan is giving us a lot, but the possibility will be addressed when the time is right."
Winning their last three games in all competitions, Gil has a big role to play once again away at Getafe with his side looking to solidify their place in the top half.
