
Hollywood legend and Batman Forever (1995) star Val Kilmer has died aged 65. The actor is known for starring in a variety of iconic movies, including Top Gun, The Doors, Top Secret! and many more.
According to The New York Times, the beloved leading actor passed away on Tuesday in Los Angeles while battling a case of pneumonia. In 2014, Mercedes Kilmer, revealed that the actor had been diagnosed with throat cancer but recovered later.
Kilmer is responsible for bringing a bunch of iconic characters to life on the silver screen. This includes Tom ‘Iceman’ Kazansky in Top Gun, Jim Morrison in The Doors, Madmartigan in Willow and Simon Templar in The Saint.
Due to his health, Kilmer stepped back from the limelight but briefly returned in 2022 to reprise his role as the iconic Iceman for Top Gun: Maverick. According to Remind Magazine, Kilmer was also in talks to star in Disney+’s Willow series. But unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic halted those plans.

Kilmer is survived by his two children, Jack Kilmer, 29, and Mercedes, 33.
