'Utter disgrace' - Leeds United fans fume as Crystal Palace fixture moved for Sky TV

Leeds United supporters are extremely unhappy after it was confirmed that the Whites' trip to Crystal Palace has been pushed back two days to be shown live on Sky Sports. The fixture was scheduled to be played on Saturday, April 23rd at 3pm, but the game will now be played on Monday, April 25th at 8pm.

This is the first time the Whites will have featured on a Monday this season. Meanwhile, Palace will have already played on a Monday four times before their game against Leeds after being scheduled to face Brighton, Arsenal twice and Manchester City.

With just over three weeks until the game, Leeds fans have expressed their anger on social media, with some already booked their travel to south London for the original date. Here is what some had to say on social media.

@Views_LUFC: I imagine there are a lot of fans who had carefully planned their journeys for the Palace game. Now it’s all been thrown in the bin by a ridiculous fixture change for TV purposes

@mightywhitespod: Stinks that they can give this little notice. Will be so many people have already booked travel/accommodation. #lufc #MOT

@JSB93x: Utter disgrace from both clubs. Leeds fans would have booked their travel, neither club will refund it so the only people who lose out are the fans

@LUSCExc: Why at such short notice? Tough on the travelling fans.

@Tickrdl1: Absolute joke!!! Means a day wage lost an last train back which gets me back to my house 3.30am then back up at 6 for work which is never fun can’t wait

@anthonysheldon_: Club should put on free buses down there as a thank you to supporters following up and down country this year. Going be a struggle even getting train back here, let alone getting time off work etc

@lufclamb86: This is shocking for the travelling fans who booked trains for the Saturday as the fixtures for tv that weekend had already been announced. Fans not thought of again. What a surprise @SkySports

@nigelbarker1971: I thought a minimum 6 weeks notice had to be given?

@dwj66: Shocker - absolutely no consideration for travelling fans

@IanTats: Shouldn't be allowed to change fixtures simply for TV once that month's changes had supposedly already been announced.

@JamieLee76: Disgusting! Why was this not announced with all the other games! I just booked trains today! @SkySports must really have a laugh at fans who go to the games!
