DEHRADUN: In an event held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Rudrapur (Udham Singh Nagar) on Friday, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami announced that the state would soon launch an ambulance service for milk-giving animals on the lines of 108 emergency ambulances. The mammals would be provided the required treatment in the dairies itself.
“The departments of animal husbandry and milk production will play a key role in increasing the income of farmers. We have already witnessed some success and are confident of getting even better results in the coming months,” Dhami said.
The CM sanctioned Rs 28 crore for Milk Price Promotion scheme for the ongoing financial year. Under the Milk Price Promotion Scheme, the state government makes efforts to boost milk production by assisting dairy activities.
