Uttarakhand Governor outlines state's developmental achievements during his Vidhan Sabha speech

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomes Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.) at the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Governor Lt Gen Gurmit Singh (Retd.) delivered a speech at the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan on Tuesday and presented a brief description of the remarkable development works done by the state government last year and listed priorities of the government for the upcoming financial year 2025-26, said a press statement.

Ahead of this Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami welcomed the Governor at the Vidhan Sabha Bhawan.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that the Governor in his address specially mentioned the important role of the women power, youth and ex-servicemen of the state.

He said that it is a matter of pride for us that our government is continuously moving towards making Uttarakhand a strong and prosperous state keeping in mind the overall development of all sections.

CM Dhami said that during his address, the Governor also mentioned a golden period in the field of economic prosperity, social justice, women welfare and infrastructure development of the state in the last year. Important steps like UCC (Uniform Civil Code) and the Uttarakhand Public and Private Property Damage Recovery Act are clear examples of this.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the top priority of our government is to build a strong and self-reliant Uttarakhand.

We are determined to bring the state into the category of developed state, so that we can contribute to fulfilling the goal of self-reliant India, he said.

The aim of all our efforts is not only to accelerate the development of the state but also to provide every citizen an opportunity to move forward towards prosperity and happiness, the Chief Minister said.
