Uttar Pradesh: A 40-year-old man committed suicide after killing his wife and minor son in Prem Nagar area of Jhansi district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here on Sunday.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajesh S said that the incident took place late on Saturday night when Neelesh (40), a resident of Nai Basti locality, committed suicide after hanging his wife Priyanka (35) and son Himanshu (4).
He said that preliminary investigation has revealed that Neelesh was an auto driver and an addict. "It has been revealed that the couple used to have altercations very frequently after which they decided to part ways," he said.
The SSP said that Neelesh had come to his in-laws house to attend a function. He said that in seems that after the function Neelesh hanged his wife and son and later committed suicide.
