Shahjahanpur: Three people were killed and four others injured when a car collided with a truck in the Kalan area of Shahjahanpur district, a senior police officer said on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Kumar Meena said that some residents of Abdullah Nagar had gone to attend a marriage in Madnapur.
"Around 2.10 am while they were returning home, their car collided with the speeding truck near Narsuiya village," he said.
The injured were rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared Ramdeen (65), Neta (40), and Rajneesh (27) dead.
"Four persons who sustained serious injuries were referred to the government hospital in Farrukhabad," SP said.
The truck driver escaped from the spot. Further investigation is going on. (with Agency inputs)
