Mainpuri: The campaign for the byelection to the Mainpuri Lok Sabha seat, which fell vacant after the demise of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, has started gaining momentum. Samajwadi Party's National President Akhilesh Yadav reached Karhal on Friday and addressed the SP's booth conference. Akhilesh Yadav said that Mainpuri byelection is an election to pay tribute to Netaji.
While addressing Samajwadi Party's booth conference in Karhal, SP President Akhilesh Yadav said that Samajwadi Party and Netaji have decades-long relationship with Mainpuri. The love of people here have made SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav "Netaji".
Akhilesh Yadav said that Netaji was the leader of the people and always remained connected to the land. Now it is our and your responsibility to strengthen the struggle that Netaji has done for the people on the ground and bring a historic victory to the Samjwadi Party in Mainpuri.
The SP President said that the leaders and workers of the party should work hard to secure each and every vote in favour of SP candidate Dimple Yadav and make her victorious in the Mainpuri byelection with a huge margin.
Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav garlanded the statue of Chaudhary Nathu Singh in Dihuli, Karhal and held a discussion with SP leaders and workers about the Mainpuri byelection.
