USC quarterback Caleb Williams is the prohibitive top prospect in the 2024 draft class, and he did nothing to dissuade those of that opinion in his team’s 42-28 win over Arizona State on Saturday. Williams showed all the athleticism, ball placement, and excellence at the position we’ve come to expect.

But there’s a reason they tell you to always keep your head on a swivel in football — because you never know what might happen. Here, on a play that didn’t go off as expected, Williams learned that you should always be prepared for a misbegotten snap.

Ouch! Hopefully, Williams will take a lesson from this: Always know where the ball is.
