The rapid approach of March Madness and the NBA playoffs approach also means the NBA draft is around the corner. This means increased buzz surrounding top prospects, and this year no single name has been more frequently discussed than USC guard Bronny James.
It remains up in the air whether Bronny, son of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, will enter the 2024 NBA draft. But in a recent story detailing the freshman guard’s approach to the game and ability to block out the noise, those around him offered high praise to the 19-year-old, both on and off the court.
“He has no ego,” said USC coach Andy Enfield, in an interview with The Ringer’s Mirin Fader. “Sure, he wants to do well for himself, but he’s all about the team.
“It’s who he is as a person,” Enfield continued. “He’s the son of one of the greatest basketball players of all time. But when he steps on the court, he’s Bronny—and he’s just one of the guys.”

Enfield said that he thinks Bronny will be a “terrific player down the line” and that the guard boasts a “big upside in his game.”
Although James has averaged just 19.5 minutes per game this season, he’s posted 5.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per contest. He’s attempted less than five shots per game, shooting 37% from the field.
