It was victory in that match that lead to USA qualifying for the Super 8s at Pakistan’s expense. Against India, Netravalkar dismissed Virat Kohli first ball.
Aaron Jones, born in New York to Bajan parents, is the USA’s leading run scorer this tournament, with his runs scored at a good lick. Moreover, he has only been dismissed once.
South Africa will be doubly keen not to go down to defeat to the only Associate nation left in the T20 World Cup. Not only will it dent their chances of qualifying for the semi finals from a group that also includes West Indies and England, but it will reinforce their unfortunate, and perhaps slightly unfair, historic reputation South Africa have as chokers.
