USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings, March 14: Merab Dvalishvili maintains position

Merab Dvalishvili has done all the work to climb the bantamweight rankings, but will have a tough time getting any further without a change in circumstance.

After extending his winning streak to nine fights with a unanimous decision over Petr Yan at UFC Fight Night 221, Dvalishvili is stuck at the No. 2 spot at 135 pounds in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings. The only man in front of him? It’s the one person who won’t fight in current UFC champ Aljamain Sterling.

Meanwhile, with a number of other notables competing at Bellator 292 and UFC Fight Night 221 this past weekend, there were slight changes across multiple weight classes including light heavyweight and lightweight.

Check out all the latest pound-for-pound and divisional USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie rankings above.
