In the main event at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia, middleweight champ Dricus Du Plessis denied Israel Adesanya’s attempt at reclaiming gold. The fight was a competitive one, but Du Plessis found a path to a rear-naked choke submission in Round 4.
Already at No. 1 in the divisional rankings, Du Plessis moved up on the pound-for-pound list from No. 9 to No. 7.
