Another day closer to the World Cup, another national team squad announcement. Tonight it will be Gregg Berhalter’s turn to name his 26-man USMNT roster ahead of the tournament which kicks off in just under two weeks.
Up until 2014, The United States had participated in every World Cup since 1990 but failed to qualify in 2018 after losing to Trinidad and Tobago in the final qualifying round.
This year, Berhalter will head to Qatar with a new look and reinvigorated side filled with lots of promising talent, although he will be hoping that his players perform better than what they did against Japan and Saudi Arabia back in September.

The U.S. are in Group B along with England, Wales and Iran, but Berhalter believes it will be an amazing opportunity to write their name into World Cup history despite facing tough opposition.
“I also think we have a responsibility to captivate the nation, to hook the nation,” he said. “That’s why we see this as an opportunity, the reason we want to do well is to use this as a springboard for 2026. It’s not a tournament that we just want to fall into, we don’t want to just fall into 2026.”
Berhalter is expected to name the USMNT squad at 5pm ET (10pm UK time), so football.london decided to look at a combination of different predictions to find out what the people’s preferred team would be overall.
