The United States has engaged in discussions with humanitarian aid organizations expressing concerns over the Israeli strike on World Central Kitchen workers, as reported by the State Department.
According to State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, there have been 200 aid workers killed, highlighting the risks faced by those dedicated to providing essential humanitarian assistance. Despite the dangers, these workers continue to put their lives on the line daily to deliver aid to those in need.
Miller emphasized that aid groups are urging the Israeli government to improve their actions in such situations, and the US government has been actively advocating for this change.
The situation in Gaza is dire, with a looming hunger crisis threatening the lives of its residents. It is estimated that by mid-July, half of Gaza's population, totaling 2.2 million people, will be on the brink of catastrophic hunger, unable to meet their basic food requirements.
