The Israeli government is facing mounting pressure from the United States to provide answers regarding a deadly airstrike that took place in northern Gaza on Tuesday. According to US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller, the Israeli government has not yet provided a satisfactory explanation for the strike, which resulted in the deaths of at least 93 people, including 25 children.

The airstrike targeted a multi-story building in Beit Lahiya and is believed to be one of the deadliest incidents in Israel's recent bombing campaign in northern Gaza. The strike has drawn condemnation from human rights groups and NGOs, who have called for accountability and transparency from the Israeli government.

In response to inquiries from the US, the Israeli military stated that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the strike and are seeking to understand why so many people were in the area at the time of the attack. Despite previous claims that the area had been evacuated, the high number of casualties has raised concerns about the military's targeting procedures.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken has emphasized the need for the Israeli government to establish a more effective communication channel with the US to provide timely and accurate information in such situations. Miller reiterated the US government's call for transparency and accountability, stressing that the Israeli government must not only provide answers to the US but also to the public.

The lack of a comprehensive explanation from the Israeli government has fueled speculation and criticism, underscoring the importance of transparency and accountability in military operations. As the investigation into the deadly airstrike continues, pressure is mounting on Israel to address the unanswered questions surrounding the tragic incident in northern Gaza.
