The US State Department affirmed that Washington is holding talks with the Egyptian government regarding the situation in Libya, acknowledging that the "chaos in Libya would impact Egypt."
It also stressed that no country can force a solution to the crisis in Libya, including the US, Russia, and Turkey, or any other country.
The US State Department affirmed that the US supports the sovereignty of the Libyan state, saying that any solution in Libya must be agreed upon between Libyans, Afrigate News reported.
It also said that the US special envoy to Libya is in contact with all parties, and has held meetings in this regard in New York on the sidelines of the 77th General Assembly session meetings.
The US State Department also warned that militias could exploit the current situation without a government, consensus or common vision.
