The Secret Service has faced challenges due to the heightened protection provided to Trump following two incidents. The first incident occurred in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump narrowly escaped an assassination attempt this summer. The second alleged attempt on his life took place in Florida in September.
Due to these security concerns, agents have been reassigned from investigative duties to help address gaps in protective details. The strain on resources is expected to ease somewhat now that Trump's campaign travels across the country have concluded.
