The US Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle has announced that the agency expects to complete its initial investigation into the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump within 60 days. Cheatle stated that the mission assurance internal investigation is on track to be finished within the specified timeframe.
In addition to the Secret Service's investigation, the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security's inspector general are also conducting their own inquiries into the shooting incident.
During a recent inquiry, GOP Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas inquired about any disciplinary actions taken against employees involved in the Bulter, PA incident. Cheatle responded that no employees have been disciplined at this time, as the agency is still in the process of conducting interviews.
