Israeli soldiers gather after the alert of an apparent security incident, in Ashkelon, southern Israel

The United States has reaffirmed its strong commitment to Israel's security in the face of threats from Iran-backed Lebanese Hezbollah. A spokesperson from the White House National Security Council emphasized that the U.S. stands firmly with Israel, describing its support as 'ironclad and unwavering.'

The statement came in response to a recent attack by Lebanese Hezbollah that tragically resulted in the deaths of 12 children and teenagers who were playing soccer. The spokesperson condemned the attack as horrific and reiterated Israel's right to defend itself against such severe threats.
