As the working week wraps up in the US, neither party has reached the 218 seats necessary to win in the House.
There's no clear overall winner in the Senate yet either, with Democrats requiring 50 seats or Republicans requiring 51 to retain or regain control.
When that will happen isn't clear — it could be days or even weeks.
Here's the state of play at the moment:
- Incumbent Democratic senator and former astronaut Mark Kelly has held onto his Arizona Senate seat against Republican Blake Masters
- It puts the Democrats just one seat away from Senate victory, with results in Alaska and Nevada still undecided and Georgia going to a runoff
- Nevada significantly expanded absentee voting in 2020, sending a ballot to every registered voter, so it could take a little longer to get final results there
- Republican Adam Laxalt is narrowly ahead of Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto in Nevada, but it's extremely close
- In Alaska, neither Trump-backed Kelly Tshibaka nor incumbent senator Lisa Murkowski are on track to win a majority. It will likely result in a second round of vote tabulating to get a result between the two Republicans

- For the House, AP has called New Mexico's second district for Democrat Gabriel Vasquez and Arizona's second district for Republican Eli Crane
- As of Saturday morning Australian time, there were 12 House seats not yet called by AP
- California's 13th, 22nd, 27th, 47th and 49th districts are still being counted, with Republicans ahead in three of those five districts
- Brandon Williams is narrowly ahead in New York's 22nd district, the fourth Republican currently ahead in the dozen House races yet to be called
