Divers Sarah Bacon and Kassidy Cook made history as the first US athletes to secure a medal for Team USA at the Paris Olympics. During a post-event press conference at the Aquatics Centre in Paris, Chen expressed minimal nerves and extended gratitude to the supportive audience. Looking ahead, she acknowledged the advantage gained from the synchronized event, emphasizing the familiarity with the competition process and facilities on-site, which will be beneficial for the individual event.
Cook shared aspirations of surpassing China to claim the gold medal in the future. Recognizing China's longstanding dominance in diving, Cook highlighted the importance of studying their techniques while also viewing them as competitors.
