National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby emphasized that negotiations are not on the verge of restarting in Doha, Cairo, or any other location. This admission follows a period of stalled ceasefire discussions, prompting President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris to renew calls for resuming negotiations after the recent killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.
