United States Customs and Border Protection is currently facing processing delays due to global technical outages, which may result in extended wait times at US ports of entry. The agency is actively working to restore its systems to full capacity and minimize disruptions to its operations, as well as to international trade and travel.
Travelers at air and land ports of entry should be prepared for longer than usual wait times during this period. Despite the challenges, all CBP applications, including Automated Commercial Environment, CBP One, Simplified Arrival, and the Global Entry Mobile App, remain operational.
The widespread technical disruptions affecting various sectors worldwide have impacted airlines, banks, businesses, schools, governments, and even some health and emergency services. Experts have noted that this could potentially be the largest IT outage in history.
