Uri Geller tells England fans how they can help the Three Lions win World Cup

Uri Geller has told England supporters to 'seize the responsibility' of winning the 2022 World Cup in Qatar - but they'll have to follow the spoon bender's bizarre instructions.

The world-famous mystifier is a big fan of the England football team, and he claims he ensured footballing success for his adopted nation by moving the ball on the penalty spot when England beat Scotland in Euro 96.

The 75-year-old self-proclaimed psychic spoke exclusively to the Daily Star to tell fans what to do, alleging if they follow his very strict directions, they'll receive success as a result.

He said: "Create a target goal in your mind and word it clearly. Repeat the target over and over, believe that you are going to win, and forbid any other ideas from distracting you.

"Imagine how you will feel when England wins and visualise the details vividly."

He also suggested speaking clearly, and not mumbling, since this will allow the team to hear you properly.

Uri explained that it is up to England fans to make sure their team triumphs in Qatar to end 56 years of the men's team not bringing it home. The last time England men's won the World Cup was in 1966.

He admitted that his advice was 'far out and quirky', but insisted that he believed in it.

Uri added: "I instruct all fans that before you go to sleep, you should run the target words through your mind three times, 'Win, Win, Win'.

"Only the England fans can do this, no one else can do it for you. Seize the responsibility and go for it."

Uri, who was investigated by the CIA over his supposed psychic powers, stated that another way England fans can secure a victory is by taking superstitious objects to games - if they're watching in Qatar.

He suggested items that 'you believe bring you good luck', as these items become tools for your own mind.

Uri did say that he's not a 'miracle worker' or a 'prophet', but insists we can all harness the 'mind power' and 'positive thinking' to influence the outcome of a game.
