Urgent warning over dangerous TikTok trend that sees steak cooked in a baffling way

TikTokers have been warned against taking part in an odd viral cooking trend that sees steak fried in a toaster.

Clips of a woman grilling the meat to give to her boyfriend have already been watched by millions of people online.

But it's not just the threat of eating the undercooked meal that has caused alarm.

TikTok user Juliette was seen pulling the steak out with tongs after warming up the dinner.

The viral video has now caused fire crews to voice their concern as they warn people: don't try it at home.

The London Fire Brigade tweeted: "What you having for dinner? This #Electricalsafetyweek we're reminding people to only use electrical products for their designated use.

"Don't cook steaks in a toaster."

Her strange videos exploded last year, leaving people horrified as she begins by placing two hefty cuts of steak into the toaster and popping them down to 'cook'.

She waits until they are browned on the outside before removing them, dousing the meat in sauce and tucking in.

The video has been met with rage and it's not the first time her alternative cooking methods have left viewers baffled, having previously cooked a burger on an iron, hot dogs in a tumble dryer, and spaghetti and meatballs in a coffee maker.

Many people tagged Gordon Ramsay on the post hoping the celebrity chef would set her straight on how to cook steak, as one person commented: "I'm pretty sure that is a war crime."

A second wrote: "I can still hear it mooing."

Another added: "That's just not right. On so many levels."

And a third replied: "I ain't even gonna lie that looks fire."
