A warning was issued to St Helens rugby fans after a social media scam.
The Super League champions' Twitter profile warned fans over an account impersonating the club, which had allegedly been contacting fans to tell them they had won a competition. Saints urged fans not to open any links in messages from the fake account.
The warning was issued to the more than 100,000 Twitter followers of the rugby league club shortly before midday on November 10.
