Urgent warning as Asda, Morrisons, Lidl, IKEA and Iceland recall food products

An urgent warning has been issued to Asda, Lidl, Morrisons, IKEA, Iceland and other supermarket customers over certain food products. Batches of mince pies, fish, meat, cheese, cake, baby food, rice and cookie mix are being recalled with shoppers urged not to eat the affected products.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has warned the products are unsafe for consumption for various reasons. In some cases, they may be contaminated or contain foreign objects like plastic and metal, while others have ingredients that aren't listed on the label but may be dangerous for people with allergies.

Customers are urged to check whether they have any of the affected products and return them to the store they were bought from as soon as possible. Shoppers will be able to get a full refund on the items when they return them, reports Leicestershire Live.
