Edinburgh police have launched an urgent search to trace a missing Ayrshire girl.
Sophia Gourlay has been missing from Hurlford since Friday with cops now 'concerned' for her wellbeing.
The 14-year-old is believed to be in the Edinburgh area and was last seen at 10.55am in Hurlford.
She is described as 5 ft 6, of medium build, with long brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a blue quilted jacket, grey leggings and black Nike running shoes.
Sgt Lorraine Fraser, Kilmarnock Police Office, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Sophia’s well-being and we would like to trace her as soon as possible to ensure that she is safe.
"We would also like to appeal to Sophia herself to get in touch should she see this appeal. “
Anyone with information is asked to contact officers at Kilmarnock Police Station via 101 quoting reference number 2404 of Friday, March 18.
