Missing Scots schoolboy traced safe and well after going missing from town on Monday

A missing schoolboy has been found safe and well after an urgent search was launched for him.

Bartosz Szulerecki, 15, had disappeared from the Kirkliston suburb of Edinburgh around 4.45pm on Monday, May 23.

At the time, cops were concerned for his welfare as he hadn't been seen or heard from for three days.

But Police Scotland have now confirmed that Bartosz has been found as they thanked the public for their assistance.

Officers initially believed Bartosz may have travelled to South Queensferry or Edinburgh as he was known to frequent there.

Anyone who may have had any information on his whereabouts was being urged to contact Police Scotland.

An update from Edinburgh Police Division said: "We can confirm that Bartosz Szulerecki,15, reported missing from Kirkliston near Edinburgh has been traced safe and well.

"Thank you to everyone who shared and responded to our appeal."
