Urgent search launched for Scots pensioner who vanished over a week ago and got train to Blackpool

Cops have launched an urgent search for a Scots pensioner who vanished more than a week ago and is thought to have travelled to England.

Officers are appealing appealing for the public’s help in tracing Patrick Harvey, 69, who has been reported missing from Kilsyth area of North Lanarkshire.

Patrick was last seen about 10pm on Saturday, July 2, in Glasgow. It is believed he boarded a train from Glasgow Central Station to Blackpool around 9.30am the following morning.

He is described as 6ft 1in, with greying hair. When he was last seen, he was wearing blue jeans, a black jacket and grey trainers.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace 69-year-old Patrick Harvey, who has been reported missing from Kilsyth area of Lanarkshire.

"Patrick was last seen about 10pm on Saturday, July 2, and is descried as 6ft 1in, greying hair wearing blue jeans, black jacket and grey trainers.

"It is believed Patrick was at Glasgow Central Train Station about 9.30am, Sunday, July 3, when he boarded a train to Blackpool.

"Anyone who may have seen Patrick since this time, or who has any information which may assist us with enquiries, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 1051 of July 4."
