A Scots man who was driving from England to Lossiemouth has been reported missing after his van was recovered from the hard shoulder of the A9.
Christopher Jiggins was driving his silver Peugeot Partner van on Sunday, May 22.
Between 11pm and midnight, the 56-year-old contacted his family to tell them that his vehicle had broken down on the M9.
His car, registration EA02RCZ, was recovered on the hard shoulder of the M9 between Junctions 9 and 10, near Stirling.
But Christopher has not been since or heard from since.
An urgent search to locate him is now underway and officers are appealing for the public's help as part of their efforts to trace him.
Christopher is described as a white male, 5ft10, medium build, with thinning black hair and a black bushy beard.
He speaks with an English accent.
He was wearing a beanie hat, a green camouflage jacket and green camouflage shorts when he vanished.
Anyone who may have seen Christopher since this time, or who has any information which may assist cops with their investigation, is being urged to contact Police Scotland.
