Urgent search for missing woman who may be in Glasgow as family 'growing concerned'

An urgent appeal has been launched to find a woman missing since Sunday who is believed to be in the Glasgow or Paisley areas.

Deborah Houston, 52, was last seen near Glengarnock Train Station in Beith at around 6.30pm on July 2. It is believed Deborah may have then travelled onwards to the Glasgow or Paisley/Johnstone areas.

Police Scotland is now appealing for anyone with information about her whereabouts to come forward to help with their search, with officers saying Deborah's family are "growing concerned".

Deborah is described as being around 5ft 2, with shoulder-length black hair and was last seen carrying a black holdall bag.

Sergeant Alistair Carswell said: “Deborah’s family are growing concerned for her welfare and are asking anyone who knows where she might be to please come forward.

“Anyone who has seen Deborah, or indeed if Deborah herself sees this appeal, please make contact with officers."

Information can be provided to police by calling 101 and quoting reference 2114 of the 3 July 2023.
