Urgent search for missing Scots boy last seen at Asda in Paisley

An urgent police search has been launched for a 12-year-old boy who vanished overnight in Paisley.

Stuart Anderson was last seen within the ASDA store at the Phoenix Retail Park on Linwood Road at around 9.30pm yesterday.

Police are currently scouring CCTV footage in a bid to trace the youngster whose family are said to be “understandably worried”.

Stuart is described as being around 5ft 8in, with a slim build and he has short, brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black hooded rain jacket and dark grey jogging bottoms with black trainers.

Sergeant Stephen Knox said: Stuart's family is understandably worried and given his age, our concern is also growing.

"I am appealing to anyone who has seen Stuart or who has any information as to his whereabouts to contact us.

"Everyone just wants to know he is safe and well."

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1714 of 25 February, 2022.
