Urgent search for man who vanished from Scots shopping centre at weekend

An urgent search has been launched for a missing Scots man last seen two days ago. Police are trying to locate Peter Paterson who has been reported missing from his home in Wishaw.

The 39-year-old was last seen near Ayr Central shopping centre around 11.30am on Sunday, July 24. Peter's subsequent movements are currently unknown.

Although he is known to travel, officers are keen to trace him to ensure he is safe and well.

Peter is described as being 6ft 2in tall with a tanned complexion, dark hair and a tattoo on his forearm.

He was last known to be wearing a grey t-shirt with a small yellow logo, a grey hooded top, black trousers and black and white Nike trainers. He was also carrying a rucksack.

Anyone who has seen Peter, or has information on his whereabouts, is being urged to call 101, quoting reference 2554 of 25 July.
