Urgent recall of remote-controlled light bulb sold in Ireland over 'electric shock' fears

Owners of RED5 Remote Controlled Lightbulbs have been advised to “discontinue use immediately.”

This comes after a safety issue has been identified with the affected products.

Part of the light bulb adapter has exposed electrical parts which if touched could result in electric shock.

The defective products were manufactured between April 2021 and July 2021.

According to the CCPC there are 78 of the affected products are in the Republic of Ireland.

The Source recalls remote controlled lightbulb (CCPC)

These products were available to be purchased from Omg Entertainment Limited, and Henry’s Trading Company Limited in Ireland.

In a statement the CCPC said: “If you purchased one of these products, please discontinue use immediately, and return it to your place of purchase to discuss available options.”
