A popular product sold on Amazon has been urgently recalled after an alarming safety issue was found.
Irish safety chiefs issued an alert about the Aomeya Table Lamp today.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission says there is a potential risk of electric shock due to insufficient insulation around the live wire, which fails to meet the necessary regulatory standards.
It is estimated that around 372 of the lamps have been sold in Ireland.
