Urgent reappeal to find missing Glasgow man as disappearance 'very out of character'

An urgent re-appeal has been launched to trace a Glasgow man missing from the Baillieston area of the city.

Brian Lundie, 41, was seen on Wednesday afternoon (March 1) and is believed to have later travelled to the Carlisle area where he was seen on Thursday (March 2).

Police are re-appealing for help tracing Brian, with officers saying his disappearance is "very much out of character".

He is described as white, 5 ft 6 in height, of a stocky build and bald. He was last seen wearing a dark green Nike tracksuit with a hooded top and black Adidas trainers.

Inspector Scott from Shettleston Police station said: "Brian was seen about 4.30 pm on Wednesday, 1 March, in Kelburne Gardens, however, from our enquiries, we believe that he has travelled to the Carlisle area where he was seen around St Nicholas Street, Carlisle, between 9 pm and 10 pm on Thursday, 2 March.

"It is very much out of character for Brian to be out of touch with his family, who are understandably concerned.

"If you believe you have seen Brian or have any further information as to his whereabouts, please contact police 101 quoting incident number 1988 of Thursday, 2 March.

"We'd also ask Brian himself to get in touch with his family, friends or police to let everyone know he is safe and well."
