An urgent police appeal has been launched in a bid to trace a man who vanished at the weekend.
Michael Fitzpatrick disappeared from his house in Cumbernauld at around 5pm on Sunday, November 13.
The 58-year-old, who is believed to work as a consultant neurosurgeon in Edinburgh, hasn't made contact with family or friends since then, nor has he been knowingly sighted by any member of the public.
Now, as the search bid enters its third day, Police Scotland are asking people for their help in tracing him.
Michael is described as 5ft 8in tall, with grey/white hair, and of small build.
He was last seen wearing a navy blue RAB hooded top and blue jeans, and was carrying a gym bag, which may have had clothes and a towel in it.
Cops are urging anyone who may have seen Michael since this time, or who has any information which may assist their enquiries, to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident 3775 of Sunday, November 13, 2022.
