Police Scotland have confirmed a pensioner missing from Edinburgh was traced safe and well following an urgent appeal to find him.
Gilbert Miller, 77 had been reported missing from the Corstorphine area of the city. He was last seen on North Gyle Road around 1.30pm on Sunday, July 2, 2023.
He was described as white, 5ft 11, of slim to medium build, grey balding hair, and was last seen wearing a dark-coloured fleece.
Inspector Alison Lawrie said: "This is out of character for Gilbert and concerns are growing for his welfare and we want to make sure he is safe and well.
“I am appealing to anyone who thinks they may have seen Gilbert or any information on his whereabouts to get in touch as soon as possible.”
In an update, Police Scotland confirmed he had been traced. They said: "Further to our earlier appeal, we can now confirm that 77-year-old Gilbert Miller has now been traced safe and well."
