Police have issued an urgent appeal for help finding a missing pensioner who was last seen at a bus station near Greater Manchester. Jack Shurst was last seen at St Helens bus station at 1.45pm today (November 12).
Merseyside Police says the 78-year-old, from St Helens, does not know any other areas. A number of bus services run between St Helens and parts of Greater Manchester, including Wigan and Leigh.
Officers are concerned for Jack's welfare. They say 'extensive enquiries' to find him are taking place and are urging anyone with information to get in touch as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "Please share and help us find missing 78-year-old Jack Shurst from St Helens. Jack was last seen at St Helens bus station on Corporation Street this afternoon at around 1.45pm.
"Extensive enquiries are ongoing to find him. Jack is 5ft 6in tall, of slim build with a pale complexion.
"When he was last seen Jack was wearing a navy bomber jacket with navy jogging pants and dark coloured sketchers trainers with a white sole. He had a scarf around his neck and a checked peak hat on.
"He is known to visit St Helens town centre and does not know any other areas. Please pass on any sightings via our form or any other information to @MerPolCC or 101."
