Urban explorers find billionaire Sir Reo Stakis abandoned Scots home still filled with personal items

A group of urban explorers were shocked to find the abandoned mansion home of the late Sir Reo Stakis still filled with personal items belonging to the famed hotelier. In the clip posted on the Abandoned Scotland TikTok account, the team show the inside of the mansion which is boarded up on the outside and surrounded by overgrown gardens.

However, they seem shocked to discover that there are still family photographs and mementoes strewn across the floors and furniture of the home of the former tycoon who passed away in 2001, aged 88.

The clip shows pictures of his former restaurants and hotels, as well as photographs of him with what appears to be his children and close family.

The Cypriot-born businessman was famous for creating and developing a chain of eponymous restaurants, hotels, bars and casinos across Scotland. He became a billionaire after he sold his empire to Hilton for £1.2bn.

The Abandoned Scotland team were saddened by the state of the place, stating that local kids had gotten access to the mansion and had set fire to the place, "smashed it up" and vandalised it "beyond recognition".

However, with so many family memories still found there, they put out a plea asking if anyone knew the family so these mementoes could be saved before any damage was done to them by vandals.
