Updates on injury status of Christian Watson, Keisean Nixon and Yosh Nijman

Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that receiver Christian Watson, kick returner Keisean Nixon and right tackle Yosh Nijman will all be considered “day to day” after exiting Sunday’s win over the Miami Dolphins.

Watson missed the second half with a hip injury, Nixon went out in the second quarter with a groin injury and Nijman left in the first half with a shoulder injury. None of the three returned to the field.

“He will be day to day. We’ll see how he progresses throughout the week,” LaFleur said of Watson.

On Nixon and Nijman: “I’d put all of those guys in the same boat.”

The Packers face the Minnesota Vikings in a must-win game on Sunday at Lambeau Field. Not having Watson, Nixon or Nijman would significantly hinder the team’s chances of knocking off the NFC North champions in Week 17.

LaFleur called Watson a “difference maker.” Nixon has been the NFL’s best returner over the last two months, and he had a 93-yard return before the injury in Miami. Nijman has started 11 games at left or right tackle this season.

Without them in Miami, the Packers used more of Romeo Doubs, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb at receiver, utilized Doubs as the kickoff returner and put Royce Newman in the game at right tackle.

LaFleur’s team will provide an injury report after practice on Wednesday and a final injury report on Friday afternoon.
