Still not practicing was defensive end Laiatu Latu. Prior to Wednesday’s practice, head coach Shane Steichen called Latu day-to-day as he works through a hip injury that he suffered against Green Bay.
This is already a defensive front for the Colts that will be without DeForest Buckner after he was placed on IR earlier in the week. Latu practicing in some capacity on Friday may need to take place if he’s going to be available on Sunday.
The rest of the Colts injury report on Thursday came with good news. After kicker Matt Gay did not practice on Wednesday, he was a full participant today. Gay would go 1-for-2 on field goal attempts in Green Bay, missing from 50 yards. Steichen said that Gay has to make that kick but he remains confident in him.
Both Josh Downs and Julian Blackmon were full participants for the second consecutive day–a good sign that both players will be on the field Sunday. The return of Downs should provide some needed stability to the Colts’ short and intermediate passing games.
Lastly, Kenny Moore and Rodney Thomas were both full participants once again, as they were on Wednesday.
