The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (6-0) will take on the Vanderbilt Commodores (2-5) on Saturday in Nashville.
The Bulldogs have dealt with an unprecedented number of key injuries since fall camp, but they are the healthiest they’ve been to this point.
Starting wide receiver Ladd McConkey (back) has appeared in a limited capacity in the last two games after missing the first four weeks. Running back Kendall Milton (MCL) played his most snaps against Kentucky since going down in Week 3.
While this is the shortest list we’ve had this year, multiple other Bulldogs are working their way back to the field.
Here’s our updated Georgia injury report, including recent quotes from head coach Kirby Smart:
WR Ladd McConkey
Injury: Back
Status: Available
After missing the first four games, McConkey saw limited snaps in the last two games and will be available on Saturday. Game-conditioning is the biggest factor for McConkey as the Bulldogs prepare for the stretch.
OLB Marvin Jones Jr.
Injury: Ankle
Status: Probable
Jones missed the SEC opener against South Carolina with an illness and appeared in the following two games before suffering an ankle sprain in practice last week, limiting him to five snaps versus Kentucky. The good news is Jones has been practicing this week.
Kirby Smart: “He played some but really pushed through the pain really well. He just didn’t get a lot of reps so probably wasn’t quite 100%. Played more in the previous games. He’s had a run of tough luck with two games almost missed due to different things.”
DB David Daniel-Sisavanh
Injury: Illness
Status: Probable
Daniel-Sisavanh missed the last two games due to an undisclosed illness, but he has returned to practice and is expected to see the field on Saturday.
Kirby Smart: “As of right now, David is back with us and is practicing and should be good to go this weekend, at least hopefully he is.”
OLB Darris Smith
Injury: Undisclosed
Status: Questionable
Smith didn’t appear in the game against Kentucky and his status is uncertain for Vanderbilt due to undisclosed reasons.
Kirby Smart: “Darris is still dealing with some other issues and things that right now, I don’t know if he’s available to play or not for this week.”
RB Roderick Robinson
Injury: Ankle
Status: Doubtful
Robinson’s injury has held him out of the last three matchups after he went down in the South Carolina game. Robinson hasn’t returned to practice yet, so it’s safe to say he will not be available in Nashville.
Kirby Smart: “He is getting closer. Dry land running, weight bearing, running, but doubtful for this game. He is closer. He’s out there running around, but he’s not practicing with us.”
OT Amarius Mims
Injury: Ankle
Status: Out
Mims will miss extensive time due to an ankle injury suffered against South Carolina. The injury required tight rope surgery, and a specific timetable for his return is unknown.
Smart noted last week that Mims is “on track” to return at some point this season.
RB Branson Robinson
Injury: Knee
Status: Out for season
Robinson will miss the 2023 season due to a torn patella tendon suffered in fall camp.
DL Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins
Injury: Foot
Status: Out
Georgia defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram Dawkins is out for the Vanderbilt game with a foot injury.
It’s a significant injury. He’s had a four-week shutdown. I think we’ll be on five. He’s going to start doing a little more next week, more being jogging and what I call weight bearing, not necessarily practice.
Center Sedrick Van Pran
Injury: Leg
Status: Healthy
Georgia center Sedrick Van Pran missed some of the Kentucky game after suffering a leg injury. Van Pran went on to return against Kentucky and should be good to play against Vanderbilt.
Yeah, Sed’s great. He came back in, finished out the game, seems to be fine.
