Updated Georgia Bulldogs injury report vs Mississippi State

The Georgia Bulldogs are fairly healthy entering the Mississippi State game. Georgia pass rusher Mykel Williams is no longer on the SEC injury report for an ankle injury, which is a good sign for the Bulldogs.

Georgia has just five players on the injury report right now, which is not too bad. However, Georgia could be missing three starters against Mississippi State.

“(Center) Jared (Wilson) is still – Jared’s better than he was, but not taking full-load reps,” said Georgia coach Kirby Smart. “He’s taking some reps, but not – he’s taking more than he was last week, but not full-load.”

Wilson is Georgia’s starting center and is a key piece along the Bulldogs’ offensive line, which is looking to perform more consistently.

Absent from Georgia’s injury report are two more key UGA players. Georgia wide receiver Colbie Young has been suspended indefinitely. Young is unlikely to play against Mississippi State, but he is not considered injured.

Additionally, Georgia defensive lineman Christen Miller appeared to be banged up in Georgia’s win against Auburn, but he should be good to go against Mississippi State. Kirby Smart notes that Miller has practiced. “Christen (Miller) is taking reps,” said Smart.

Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Hall is still working his way back. Hall is battling back from a pair of stress fractures in his legs.

“Jordan is trying to get out there and go. Man, he’s pushing so hard,” said Smart. “I hate it for that kid because he’s had two rods – I mean, a rod put in both legs. And he’s out there frustrated. He’s doing more than he did last week, but I don’t know that I can say he’s ready to play this week.”

Georgia linebacker Smael Mondon was on crutches on the sidelines against Auburn, so he is likely to be out for a while. Georgia is also without running back Roderick Robinson and offensive lineman Tate Ratledge, who are recovering from significant surgeries.
