With the NBA Finals finally wrapped, the next big event on the NBA calendar is the draft next Thursday.
With Stephen Curry and the champion Golden State Warriors as the standard, teams in the lottery are hoping to land the next transcendent superstar who can transform their franchises into a title contender. And that pick isn’t always No. 1. Curry was the seventh overall pick. The runner-up Boston Celtics landed both Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown at third overall.
