The team behind the New Brighton Prom Stages Rally have confirmed the event will go ahead following The Queen's death.
The event, organised by Wallasey Motor Club Ltd, will go ahead after receiving advice from Motorsport UK. An email sent by the organisation said: "Motorsport UK joins the nation in mourning the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As a mark of respect, we advise all clubs running evening up until the funeral to hold a two-minute silence in memory of Her Majesty at a time of your choosing.
"Where venues have the ability to do so, flags should be flown at half-mast. Her Majesty was an inspiration to our nation, dedicating her life to her duties and we offer our deepest sympathies of His Majesty The King and the Royal Family."

A statement released by Promenade Stages Rally on Facebook said: "After the sad news tonight we have received the following communication from Motorsport UK, we will of course be following this advice and will advise in due course.
"We can confirm The Cataclean Prom Stages will be going ahead as planned."
The 2022 Cataclean Promenade Stages Rally aims to be its biggest and best event yet, with thousands expected to attend Kings Parade. This is the rally's 40th year and its first return following a number of cancellations due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The first night saw cars including Ford Escort Mk 2's and Subaru Impreza's compete to be the fastest in their class, with the competition continuing into Saturday.
Wallasey Motor Club Chairman Gary Marriott said: “It feels great to return for our 40th anniversary after time out due to covid. The event has such a special history and we take great pride in bringing so many people to the area for two days of incredible rallying. Some of the events have had up to 15,000 spectators and it’s always a really fun, family friendly showcase.”
The Promenade Stages Rally action continues on Saturday, September 10, at 8am and continues until around 6pm. There will also be a Rally Village with trading stands, food and drink outlets and a historic 40th anniversary celebration demonstration of past winners.
